Parker Colorado is located in Douglas County. The town was founded in 1864 and incorporated as a municipality in 1981. Parker is home to over 50,000 residents. Known for its beautiful Victorian buildings in Old Town Parker, this town offers residents a hometown feeling. Offering lots of open space and recreation, the Town of Parker Parks and Recreations Department was awarded the National Gold Medal Grand Award in 2011. First Annual Parker Arts Shakespeare Festival

Parker Arts presents our first annual Shakespeare Festival, a theatrical competition for Parker middle schools and high schools. Students from participating schools will perform a scene or portion of a scene from a Shakespeare play or soliloquy of their choosing and be evaluated by a team of judges.
